My Thoughts In Letters

REWIND. The romance was not planned -- with the first message just aiming to keep in touch with an ex- co-worker. It was a normal day at work for both of them. He saw her name on his IM and thought how she was doing after all these months. She was always so positive.

He messaged. She responded... thinking that he was asking for an update on a technical issue at work. Thing is, he resigned a few months back.

The conversation was short, both of them not realizing that it was the start of something more than they ever bargained for.

Days passed, with them talking for hours. About work, relationships, movies, food, books -- everything and anything. They were both unattached and assumed that the single life was meant for them. Their conversations were sometimes light, sometimes heavy ... and they did not run out of things to talk about.

He knew she was special. And she couldn't stop thinking about him.

Their conversations began twisting and turning down paths more personal - secrets neither had been able to express in any way before came so suddenly and so easily.

They grew closer, spoke longer. Everything was honest, be it good or bad. They had so much in common - they finished one another's thoughts on almost everything. This continued..with the thought that it was all something so much more in the back of both their minds.

That was kept hidden away...but the longer they spoke, the closer they became...and that thought was suddenly consuming his every waking moment.

And then...one night, nearing the end of their conversation...
